Debra A. Schafer, DVM, CVA
Dr. Schafer grew up on a farm in Northeastern Indiana outside of Milford. She enjoyed the animals and spending time riding on farm calls with her father who also is a veterinarian. She graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She practiced in several veterinary clinics ranging from mixed to small animal for the next 8 years. She then took a hiatus from veterinary practice and joined the Monastery of the Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand, Indiana where she became a Benedict Sister. She took Theology classes and worked in multiple disciplines for 2 years before she went back to veterinary practice as a Sister. She decided to leave the Monastery as a Sister but continued to work full-time as a veterinarian. During this time she furthered her education by going back to school at the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine. She graduated in December of 2005 and continued her education in Chinese Herbology. She opened her veterinary clinic, All God’s Creatures Holistic Healthcare in September of 2010, where she incorporates Acupuncture, Herbs, Food Therapy with Western Veterinary Medicine as indicated. She is currently taking courses to become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist, which she will complete is spring 2020.
Pam Buss, DC
Dr. Pam Buss grew up in Belleville, IL. Her family owned horses, dogs and cats as a child. She has always loved animals and has cared for their well being. She initially went to college to be a veterinarian. She changed major when she knew it would be too hard for her when it came to the end of an animal’s life. Dr. Buss graduated from Logan School of Chiropractic in 1998 and finished her course to become a certified animal chiropractor. She is certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. She owns her own human chiropractic business in Huntingburg, IN, All In One Chiropractic. She works with Dr Debra Schafer two partial days a week adjusting animals. They often travel to agility and performance trials locally to support the clubs and adjust the animals.
Courtney Jacob , AS, VT – Office Manager
Courtney started working at All God’s Creatures Holistic Healthcare December 2012. She grew up on her family farm working with cattle and other animals. While in high school she had the opportunity to work in a veterinary office assisting in the kennels and exam rooms. She attended Western Kentucky University for Animal Science. She then went to Brown Mackie College in Louisville where she received her associate degree in Veterinary Technology December 2012. In the spring of 2015 she took the Veterinary Technician course at The Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine. Courtney moved back to Dubois County after graduating from college and lives with her husband Chad and their daughter Charlee, a Pembroke Welsh Corgis named Turbo and a Mountain Curr named Camshaft “Cammy”. During her free time she likes to work with the cattle on their farm and finding treasures at Flea Markets. She is active with a mission group that goes to Belize doing humanitarian efforts within the different villages.
Nicole Rexing, BA, RVT
Nicole began at All God’s Creatures Holistic Healthcare in September 2010. She grew up with reptiles and horses. She first attended Vincennes University for the Pre-Vet Program. She then went to Indiana University where she got a degree in Biology. While attending IU she worked for a veterinarian that told her about the veterinary technology program. She then went to Purdue University for Veterinary Technology. She graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Technology in 2000. While attending Purdue she was certified by the University’s DOGS! course in 2002 for Behavior Modification. She met her husband, Andy, while at Purdue and has two wonderful children. She has 2 horses, 6 cats, and 2 dogs. On her days off she is conducting private dog obedience/behavior consults. She also owns and operates her own pet cremation business, Loyal Companions Crematory in Dale, IN. During her free time she likes to spend time and camp with her family and friends and ride horses.
Justin Stieneker
Justin started working for All God’s Creatures in November 2015 after moving back to the area from Nashville TN. Justin has a degree in Exercise Science and Audio Engineering. He currently lives in the Velpen area with his cat G.W.. In his free time he enjoys music, fitness and watching sports.
